Glossary Coronavirus / Term
[Lockdown] A Japanese word for the comfort of being cared for by another person, the way a parent cares for a child. It’s the feeling of wanting to crumple into someone else’s arms and have them make everything okay — of knowing that you don’t need to summon any inner strength because they’ve got you — and can be especially intense when isolation puts a soothing hug out of reach.
