Voluntarily staying home if you think you are sick.
Self-quarantine is a voluntary decision made by someone who has been either exposed or potentially exposed to COVID-19, for instance from an infected family member, to stay away from the public to avoid possibly spreading the virus.
The practice of isolating yourself from others until it is considered safe to return to public life. In the case of COVID-19, people who suspect they might have been exposed to the virus should self-quarantine for 14 days.
