(deeds) n. Favor in the eyes of the gods (or Lorminstra in particular). The process of earning "deeds" usually involves a minor ritual and an offering at a place of worship. If one dies without a deed and is not resurrected, they will almost certainly pass through the Ebon Gates and no longer be able to exist among the living. If a person does not have a deed, even if they are resurrected, they will lose experience. You lose a single deed (or two, depending on the type of death) whenever you die.
