(parries, parried) 1. v. The act of using your weapon as a defensive instrument to deflect incoming attacks. If you are in a stance other than offensive, then a portion of your weapon skill goes towards parrying, thus improving your defense.

2. v. What happens when you botch an ambush. The AMBUSH command has a chance of failure, and if you fail, the messaging other people see is "Soandso parries around with the creature." When this occurs you do not hit your target and are given a 5 second RoundTime.
