Glossary Karate / Term
Back hand strike. A strike with the back of the hand where the hand and fingers are straight.
[Striking Technique] This technique is similar to the back-fist strike except that the hand is not clenched in a fist. It is used to attack the ears and solar plexus but can also be used as a blocking technique. It is usually performed from the straddle-leg stance to attack to the side of the body.
