Color information in a video signal. The chroma consists of saturation and hue. Saturation is the degree to which the pure color has been mixed with white – a high level of saturation has little white and more pure, vibrant color while a low level of saturation is washed out with lots of white. Hue is the quality of the color itself – a red hue or a blue hue.
