Glossary Multimedia / Term
The coming together on a video display of the multiple component colors which make up the display. On a color video display, the image is made up of many points of light. Each point of light is comprised of three primary colors. These colors come together, or converge, at these points to form the colors of each point. The points, also known as pixels, come together to form the complete image. When the colors are out of convergence (they do not meet up proplerly), there is a convergence error and the displayed image will be incorrect.
