Organization of video professionals started by Joe Kane and dedicated to increasing the quality of video displays and how images are shown on them. The ISF produces the DVD and laserdisc “A Video Standard” which is used to calibrate video displays for optimum performance. It also conducts training seminars to inform audio/video retailers of how to best set up and configure video displays. The group has also begun to put their seal of approval on audio/video equipment meaning that those products, when properly configured, meet the highest standards of video excellence.
