The algebraic sum of the resistance due to (1) the friction between the coiled tubing and the well control equipment, (2) the friction between the coiled tubing and the wall of the wellbore, (3) the friction due to the coiled tubing passing through fluid, and (4) the friction due to the flow of fluids either inside or outside of the coiled tubing.
