Amygdala

A part of the limbic system of the brain that is involved in regulating aggression and emotions, particularly fear.


Located within the limbic system. This structure consists of two “almond-shaped” clusters and is primarily responsible for regulating our perceptions of, and reactions to, aggression and fear.
