The angle at which a dish points above the local horizon is termed the elevation angle. For any site on the globe the largest elevation angle occurs when aiming at those satellites at the most southerly (in the northern hemisphere) or the most northerly locations. For a site at the equator, the elevation angles is a constant 90 degrees.
