Invalid (logical) argument

An invalid logical argument is one in which the truth of the premises does not guarantee the truth of the conclusion. For example, the following logical argument is invalid: If the forecast calls for rain, I will not wear sandals. The forecast does not call for rain. Therefore, I will wear sandals.
