(Soccer) There has been a football tournament at the Summer Olympic Games since 1900 [except for the 1932 games in Los Angeles].
Originally this torunament was for amateurs only, but professionals are now admitted as well, within certain criteria. In 1996 Women's football was introduced at the Olympic Games.
