Integrated assembly of components required to convert microwave signals to an intermediate frequency range for further processing. Generally consists of an input filter, local oscillator filter, IF filter, mixer and frequently an LO frequency multiplier and one or more stages of IF amplification. May also incorporate the local oscillator, AGC/gain compensation components and RF preamplifier.
