The process of checking that the product has been correctly installed and is safe for use is known as 'commissioning'. Commissioning instructions can usually be found in the installation manuals for each product which details the procedures a trained and suitably qualified installer should legally complete a checklist for to comply with the appropriate Building Regulations and may be required in the event of any work being carried out under warranty.
