Buccellato

A traditional wreath-shaped sweet of Lucca in Tuscany, buccellato was often prepared to celebrate confirmations. It is a simple dessert, made of a leavened dough enriched with eggs, sugar, and butter or lard; dried citron or Marsala are sometimes folded in.
