The deepest frequencies of the audible spectrum – generally those below 200 Hz. Bass frequencies are those which occur in the low end of the spectrum having few cycles per second and long wavelengths. Bass notes are typically reproduced with large drivers of at least 6 inches in diameter with lower bass (below 80 Hz) being reproduced by drivers of 10 to 18 inches in most cases.
