Term used to describe a CD changer that holds a large number of discs (often 50 or more) and can easily switch from one disc to another and play all the discs held within. These types of CD changers have become popular because they eliminate the need to swap discs in a traditional single disc or carousel changer (carousel changers hold 3 to 6 discs on average in horizontal round indentations on a platter).
